Setting Description

The Southeastern library helps students grades seven through twelve. There are about 300 students in the building that houses junior and senior high students. The main space in the library is about 864 square feet. There are three small 10 by 10 foot room3 on the side. One of these rooms is used as a quiet area. The other two are storage areas. There are over 5,000 nonfiction, fiction, and reference books. There are nine different periodicals to browse. The local newspaper is available online to students. In the main library there are four large wooden tables that seat six students at each, and the small room has one round table that is able to seat four students at a time. The library houses seventeen Chromebooks because Southeastern is not a one-to-one school yet. The library has a Smartboard that anyone is allowed to use, but it is not portable. The library uses SirsiDynix Symphony WorkFlows. Students also have access to InfOhio databases and can access World Cat through the library homepage along with several helpful websites. College material for students is alos available for the students to read instead of housed in the guidance office.

The library is also home to student art work around the library in frames and painted book covers on ceiling tiles. There is a black and white printer, which all students have access to.
